Fringe Benefits

I just got back from an amazing weekend in Mexico celebrating a friend's wedding, and I'm wishing that the San Francisco weather allowed me to wear long dresses and rompers like I did all weekend.

Now it's back to reality, but I have some great new staples for my next beach vacation. This fringy romper is still on sale at H&M (link below), and it's perfect for Coachella Weekend 2 coming up! I'm also in love with this hat, which on top of offering sun protection, features a glamorously wide brim.

Happy romping!

Maternity Fierce

So as you can see, I'm doing my damndest to stay fierce while pregnant. I'd say I nail it about 5% of the time. Mostly, I just want to wear my joggers and my Stan Smiths and not put any makeup. I'd probably stay in bed all day, too, if I could somehow manage it. This pregnancy has been a lot more difficult than my first, primarily the physical discomforts. A lot of days it's hard for me to walk normally, and I don't know how I can possibly be this, well, PREGNANT at 5 1/2 months! What am I going to be like at 7 or 8 months? Eek!

Anyhow, this particular day Nahal and I ventured out to do a photo shoot with the stunningly stylish Raina Washington of The Embellished Closet. I kind of don't want to send you to her site, because it gives me major blog envy every time I look at it. How can someone be that photogenic? If I didn't love her, I'd probably hate her. Consider yourself lucky, Raina!

A note on the outfit deets: The dress is H & M, non-maternity, but it's sold out online. They may still have it in stock in stores, though! The sunnies are Warby Parker Hall in Whiskey tortoise. I've included similar products below!

Happy viewing, and I hope you're all having a great weekend!

And then there was that time I met Tim Gunn

My darling of a husband bought me tickets to see Tim Gunn in person and to attend the meet & greet before the event. I swear I'm not just a celebrity hound, but it's Tim Gunn we're talking about! Anyone who's see Project Runway has to feel me, am I right? The man is a GEM. And he's absolutely lovely in person; he's warm and gracious and hilarious.

The night was absolutely perfect, except that one part where I toppled down the stairs. Yep, it happened. But lucky for me, it was only my pride that was hurt, folks.

I bought this jumper at Nordstrom recently (it's not maternity!). I'll likely only fit in it a few more days at the exponential rate at which my bump is growing, but the San Francisco weather will be perfect for just such a thing after I have the baby! I can't wait to see what it looks like without the bulging belly!

Links to all products found below (including this incredible $25 white clutch!). The NARS lip shade is Cruella.

I’m trying really hard to stay on my style “A-game” while I’m pregnant, which, admittedly, is harder some days than others. Luckily I’m still able to wear the majority of my non-maternity pants with the Ingrid & Isabel Be Band. If you’re pregnant or think you may ever be pregnant, take note: this is my absolute-must-have for all maternity wardrobes. It holds up unzipped pants or skirts and expands as needed! ‘Nuff said.

I got these Rag & Bone skinny jeans at Nordstrom Rack probably a year ago. I love the leather inserts and the mesh cutout! And they were a crazy good deal, so I couldn’t pass them up. The jacket is H & M and sadly no longer for sale, but they have similar styles at hm.com and I’ve provided similar below!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
